This is his 6th year as Principal of Brandywine Springs and 28th year in education. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1994 and completed his Masters from Wilmington University in 2000 in Secondary School Counseling, where he also received his Administrative Certificate. Mr. Bedford lives in Hockessin with his family.
Dr. McCormick grew up in upstate NY but has called Delaware home since 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, Master’s degrees in Reading & Literacy and Mathematics Instruction, and has completed a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Delaware. During her 21 years in education, Dr. McCormick has been a classroom teacher teaching grades 1, and 5 through 8, a math specialist for the University of Delaware, and most recently was the math coach at Skyline Middle School.
As the oldest of 4 girls, Dr. McCormick has always loved working with children and knows that education is exactly the right place for her. She is ecstatic to be here at Brandywine Springs as an Assistant Principal.
Dr. McCormick lives in North Wilmington with her children, Quinn and Rory, and their dog, Hope.
Ms. Wolford grew up in Wilmington, DE attending St. Marks HS (2002) and West Chester University (2006) earning a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. She began teaching Health and Physical Education at Conrad Schools of Science in the fall of 2007.
Throughout her career in education, Ms. Wolford has taught, coached, advised, led, and implemented a variety of programs. Some highlights include the implementation of the Conrad XC program in 2008, where she coached through the fall of 2021, fielding many competitive teams. Ms. Wolford was named the 2020 Girls DE State Coach of the Year and the 2021 Boys State Coach of the Year. She has coached swimming, indoor and outdoor track and served in the assistant athletic director role at Conrad Schools of Science. She earned her masters degree in school leadership from Wilmington University in 2013, where she earned her principal/assistant principal certificate, and most recently spent 8 years as the student advisor at Conrad.
Ms. Wolford enjoys running, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her family.
