It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Brandywine Springs community. As principal, I am honored to serve alongside a dedicated team of educators, staff, families, and students who are committed to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
At Brandywine Springs, we believe every child brings unique strengths, talents, and potential. Our goal is to nurture those gifts through high-quality instruction, meaningful relationships, and opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and growth.
This school year, we are excited to continue building a strong community where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to achieve their best. Together, with the support of families and our wider community, we will empower students to embrace challenges, celebrate successes, and develop the skills they need for a bright future.

Mrs. Nora Wolford was born and raised in Delaware. A graduate of St. Mark's High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Adapted Physical Education from West Chester University. She later earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.
Mrs. Wolford has spent her 18 year teaching career in the Red Clay Consolidated School District. She spent 15 years at Conrad Schools of Science where she taught health and physical education, served as Conrad's assistant athletic director and student advisor, and coached high school cross country, swimming and track and field. She earned the Delaware State Cross Country Coach of the Year award in 2020 and 2021. Mrs. Wolford has spent the last 3 years at Brandywine Springs serving as assistant principal.
Mrs. Wolford enjoys spending them with her husband, Bob, and their son Andrew. She also enjoys going to the beach, running, and working out.
Mrs. Wolford is honored to step into the role of principal and is deeply committeed to building strong relationships, supporting student success, and upholding the values that make this school a place where everyone can thrive.

Dr. Kirsten Belair was born and raised in Delaware. A graduate of Padua Academy, she went on to earn a Track and Field scholarship to Seton Hall University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Business. She later earned both a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.
Dr. Belair began her career in the Pennsville School District in New Jersey, teaching 2nd and 4th grade at Valley Park Elementary. She then joined Odyssey Charter School, where she served in multiple roles, including Elementary Teacher, Reading Specialist, District Instructional Coach, and District Student and Staff Development Specialist. In 2018, she joined the Red Clay Consolidated School District as a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher at H.B. du Pont Middle School. While there, she also served as an administrative intern and participated in the Red Clay Aspiring Leadership Academy. Dr. Belair served as Anna P. Mote Elementary School’s Assistant Principal from October 2021 until June 2025.
She is thrilled to be joining Brandywine Springs School as Assistant Principal for the 2025–2026 school year.
Dr. Belair enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Jacob and Jonathan. Jacob attends the University of Delaware, and Jonathan is a student at Sanford School. She also loves going to the beach, running, and working out. Dr. Belair is eager to collaborate with the Brandywine Springs' faculty and families to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.

Lucio Costantini is a dedicated educator and leader committed to student growth and school improvement. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies and Secondary Education from Immaculata University, where he was awarded the Reverend Robert T. Riddle Medal from the History Department for academic excellence. Driven to further develop his leadership skills, he went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.
Since 2017, Lucio proudly served the H.B. duPont Middle School community in multiple capacities, including long-term substitute, 7th grade special education teacher, 6th grade science teacher, 6th grade team leader, and science department chair. As a leader in the school, he helped implement various Multi-Tiered System of Supports initiatives centered on promoting positive behavior and most recently served as one of the Extended School Year Coordinators at A.I. High School.
Beyond academics, Lucio has enriched student experiences as the assistant coach for the boys lacrosse team, head coach of the girls’ lacrosse team, and head coach of the Science Olympiad program. Under his guidance, the Science Olympiad team earned state championships in both 2022 and 2025, a testament to his commitment to student growth and achievement.
Lucio’s passion for education, leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities for all students to succeed continues to drive his work in shaping the next generation of learners. He is thrilled to bring his experience, energy, and student-centered approach to the Brandywine Springs School community, where he looks forward to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and empowering school culture.
